WANT TO REDUCE THE COST OF YOUR NEW LANDFILL OR TAILINGS DAM CELL?

When designing a new landfill, there are generally multiple layers of geosynthetic materials – and each material is generally supplied at a different roll length.  And the GCL is usually the shortest roll length.

So if it is common practice not to design with joins on the side-slopes, then how do you design around this for long slopes?

The most common way is bench the slope, which increases the cost of construction.

Another way is to use longer rolls of GCL.

In October 2019, Geofabrics have completed another upgrade to our GCL production line, making it easier for us produce and safely handle rolls of GCL that are much longer than before – up to 100m long!

So now, you can have longer slopes supplied with no benches and no joins.  And because they are made in Queensland, you can also access the benefits of local production – which includes shorter supply time and reduced CQA risk.
