Geofabrics has partnered with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to create the Geofabrics Australasia John Bolton Civil Engineering prize, in honour of our late colleague John Bolton.

John’s extensive career in Geosynthetic Engineering began in 1982 when he graduated from the NSW Institute of Technology, now known as UTS, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

John worked with Geofabrics for 6 years and prior to that, our supplier partner, Maccaferri for 21 years. Not only was John an excellent engineer, he was an adored friend and colleague.

The Geofabrics Australasia John Bolton Civil Engineering prize has recently been awarded to Edward Marks who received the highest mark in the UTS Major Design Project for Geotechnical Engineering.

We look forward to many more years of celebrating John’s life, excellence in geotechnical engineering and the engineers of the future with UTS.
