TenCate Miragrid® geogrids are used for soil reinforcement in slopes and walls, as well as basal reinforcement for embankments. It interlocks with granular soils, allowing shorter anchor lengths thus reducing earthwork costs.
TenCate Miragrid® is a geogrid manufactured from high modulus polyester yarns to ensure the long term structural stability of reinforced soil structures and as veneer reinforcement to reduce the stress from a soil cover on a geomembrane liner at the side slopes of a landfill. TenCate Miragrid® geogrid can accomodate extremely high loads due to low-creep, high-modulus raw materials. The product's relatively low reduction factors have been verified and certified by independent research institutes and testing laboratories.
TenCate Miragrid® geogrid can be used in a wide variety of fill types from clays to sands up to well graded aggregates having a maximum particle size of 65 mm. The wide range of testing with these fill types allows TenCate Miragrid® geogrid to be used for reinforcement of soil embankments, soil slopes, landfill veneers, bridge abutments and retaining walls.
TenCate Miragrid® geogrids meet the New Zealand Transport (NZTA) clause 6.8.1 of the Bridge Manual 3rd edition.

TenCate Miragrid® geogrid is supplied in rolls of 2.6m wide for modular block walls (NZ only) and 5.2m in wide for slopes and large walls. TenCate Miragrid® geogrid has its main strength in the longitudinal or roll direction, it is easy to handle and install, can be easily cut to length and placed into position.
