The Scenic Rim region is a thriving rural paradise set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by World Heritage-listed national parks. Home to a population of more than 40,000 the region covers 4254sq km and is located an hour south of Brisbane and an hour inland from the Gold Coast.

The embankment along Beechmont road was always getting eroded continuously during and after heavy rainfall events. Scenic Rim Regional Council having used Grassroots before with great success decided to use Grassroots on this slope to protect then embankment from further erosion.

Geofabrics was asked to visit the site and assist with the technical installation of the Grassroots and also to confirm that the product was fit for purpose.

The Scenic Rim Regional Council Team installed the Grassroots themselves to an incredibly high level of installation followed to the letter by our recommended installation guidelines.

The slope is now completely protected from the elements, and the Scenic Rim Regional Council team have done an exceptional job.

The Grassroots solution will provide the Council with a permanent solution which is what they were looking to achieve.
